Our Background

Built on Responsibility

Recycleco was founded on a single conviction: that waste collection should never mean waste dumping. Born from years of working within London's waste management infrastructure, our founders saw first-hand how cutting corners at disposal stage causes environmental and community harm.

We built our entire operation around certified disposal chains. Every van has a designated end-point for every category of material it carries. We log, track, and report — not because we have to, but because we believe accountability is what separates a proper clearance company from a fly-tipping risk.

Today, we operate across East London and Essex with a fleet of Luton vans, a team trained in material categorisation, and an active network of council-approved recycling partners, charities, and specialist disposal facilities.

Specialist Disposal Streams

Every Waste Type. Handled Correctly.

Most rubbish removal companies stop at general waste. We go further. Here are the specialist categories we manage through certified channels.

Battery Disposal

Batteries contain mercury, cadmium, and lithium — all toxic to soil and groundwater. We separate all battery types (AA, lithium-ion, car batteries) and route them to certified WEEE battery processors, never into general waste streams.

Lithium-Ion Lead-Acid Alkaline

Data Destruction

Old computers, phones, servers, and hard drives hold sensitive personal and commercial data. We work with GDPR-compliant, certified data destruction partners who provide certificates of destruction. Your data never falls into the wrong hands.

Clinical & Hospital Residue

Medical equipment, PPE, and clinical-adjacent materials from care homes or private clinics are handled under strict protocols. We segregate, bag correctly, and transport to licensed clinical waste partners, fully compliant with the Health Technical Memoranda (HTM 07-01).

WEEE Electronics Recycling

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) must be recycled under EU-derived UK law. TVs, fridges, washing machines, microwaves, IT equipment — all go to approved WEEE treatment facilities where valuable metals are extracted and harmful components safely neutralised.

Hazardous & Chemical Waste

Paints, solvents, cleaning chemicals, asbestos-adjacent materials, and oils require specialist handling. We assess, safely contain, and transport to authorised hazardous waste treatment facilities — keeping toxins out of London's soil and water.

Construction & Inert Waste

Concrete, rubble, plasterboard, timber, and mixed builders waste all have separate disposal and recycling routes. We sort on-site where possible, maximising reuse of inert materials through London's network of licensed aggregate recyclers and transfer stations.
